LEVI

Rabbi Levi Shemtov was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, home to the famed Lubavitcher Rebbe and Central Chabad Headquarters. From a young age, Levi was instilled with a love for Torah and Mitzvot and imbued with a sense of mission and purpose to share his love for Judaism with fellow Jews.  

Levi studied at Yeshivot in Brooklyn, Detroit, Chicago, and Rabbinical College of America in Morristown. Upon completion of his studies, he was ordained at the Central Chabad Yeshiva in Brooklyn.

During his years as a rabbinic student, Rabbi Levi gained first-hand experience leading Holiday programs, directing events, and teaching Torah classes.

SARA

Mrs. Sara Shemtov is a born and bred Santa-Fean. Her parents, Rabbi Berel and Devorah Leah Levertov are directors of the Santa Fe Jewish Center. Sara was homeschooled until 7th grade and then traveled to attend the Lubavitch Girls High School in Chicago. After graduating, Sara spent a year doing advanced studies in Safed, Israel.

Sara will also be directing the new Aleph Bet preschool in the Santa Fe Jewish Center.

In July of 2026, Levi and Sara (and there son Mendel) moved to Eldorado to bring their hopes and aspirations for enhancing Jewish life in Eldorado. Rabbi Levi & Sara are passionate about Judaism and excited to work with YOU bringing the love and joy of Judaism to your hearts and family.
